SKATING TRIP
Our date for skating this year is Tuesday 27th December. Final times are still to be confirmed but are likely to be 5pm to 6pm. There is no outdoor rink in the Square this year so we have booked for the Indoor Arena - it will be decorated festively and is bigger than the outdoor one so should still be a good event!
For the meal afterwards we are going to Frankie & Benny's at Lenton (near the Showcase Cinema)..
Skating tickets are £5 per person for age 5 and over (under 5s cost TBC). Deposit for the meal is £5 per person (all ages) - this will be deducted from your final bill on the day.
Please let Sue have numbers for skating and Frankie and Benny's as soon as possible as we have to book the skating tickets and the restaurant.
BOYS' SQUAD CHRISTMAS DISPLAYThe MA squad is holding their Christmas display on Sunday 27th November at East Midlands Gymnastics Centre. Doors open at 2.30, display starts at 3pm (gymnasts need to be at the gym for 12.30 for practice - plus helpers for setting up). Tickets are £4 children, £7 adults, £18 family but tickets are discounted by £1 if you buy them before the day so get your tickets early from Liz or Sue!
Donations for the raffle will be gratefully received - please hand to one of the fundraising committee to pass to Sue in the gym. Please sign the notice board outside the gym to indicate what refreshments you can provide.
GYM TRIAL
TRIAL FOR BOYS' GYMNASTICS SQUAD
Notts Gymnastics Academy is holding a free trial for boys on Saturday 22 October 2011.
We are looking for boys aged 5-7 years old with the potential to be part of our Junior squads building up to take part in competitve 6 piece gymnastics. Some basic strength and flexibility is required but the most important thing is good coordination and good concentration skills. No previous experience is necessary.
If you are interested, come along and we'll have a look at you. Please wear suitable clothing such as leotard and shorts or t-shirt and shorts. The session will involve testing of basic strength, flexibility and co-ordination and will be followed by a chance to try some of the apparatus.
Registration is at 4.30pm and the trial will last about 1 1/2 hours.
