Prince Harry was there to meet her and other athletes on the day with conversation over tea and sandwiches on the lawn. Ellie continued her day with an interview on Radio 5 Live followed by complimentary tickets to watch the Women's all-around gymnastics final at the Greenwich Arena and GB's Rebecca Tunney 13th place finish, one place below her sister Becky's final position of 12th four years ago in Beijing. Ellie is hotly tipped to be amongst the GB women's squad for Rio 2016. Helen and Ellie still managed to squeeze in some retail therapy to conclude one of their "best days ever".

With some of the best seats in the house Ellie experienced her first Olympic Games, witness to the drama at the Women's all around Championships, London 2012.
