The British Championships 2012
Echo Arena, Liverpool 22-24th June
As we edge closer to the London 2012 Olympic Games, more and more countries are announcing the teams that will represent them this summer. Who will be selected for the British Senior WAG's? The final decision will be made this weekend but the public will not know the final line-up until July 4th when it will be announced live from Loughborough.
This weekend, The British Championships in Liverpool will be used by the selection committee as the final Olympic trial. Notts, true to form, will be represented well at the Championships not just at Senior level but with Espoirs and Juniors as well.
Friday 22nd June - Juniors (13.00-15.00)

Lillie Buttery, Katy Bramley and Kirsty Baldwin
Representing Notts this year will be Lillie Buttery, Kirsty Baldwin and our youngest junior, Katy Bramley. Both Lillie and Kirsty have been plagued by injury so it will very exciting to see them back in competition for this event. Katy Bramley has swept up the rankings, qualifying from the Challenge route by winning the British Junior Challenge Cup last year and this year taking part in the English Championships finishing with Bronze AA. She was also selected for The Manx International, helping England win Team Gold.
Saturday 23rd June Women’s seniors 19:00-20:30

It will be a long wait for Olympic hopefuls Becky Downie and Niamh Rippin before they take to the arena Saturday evening. Nicole Pavier and Megan Bonnar who both have been injured this year are also entered into the Seniors. Nicole has been juggling her GCSE's with training, only just completing her final exam before travelling up to Liverpool.

Niamh and Becky have been competing regularly this year whilst trying to maintain maximum fitness and make an impact on the selection committee. The final selection will be made based on a combination of competitions and not just from the results from this weekend. However, Becky and Niamh are aiming to qualify for the all the individual apparatus finals on Sunday.
Sunday 24th June -

As well as the seniors and juniors battling it out, the Espoirs will also be competing in their own finals on Sunday.
