Inclusive
We believe that gymnastics builds community, confidence, strength and focus and we aim to tailor our provision so that everybody can benefit from the sport. That might look like coaches making slight adaptations within a GymSchool class/performance squad, or it might look like attending our specifically planned Sunday sessions. These classes are designed for those gymnasts with greater support needs have been planned for a time when the gym is a quieter, calmer space to be in, and allow gymnasts to take things at a more appropriate pace for them.
We have witnessed some special moments in our Inclusive classes, from a first word being spoken (who wouldn't ask for "more" bounces on a trampoline?!), to long sought after skills being achieved, and long-lasting friendships being formed.
How a session runs
They follow a regular routine so that gymnasts feel safe, secure and able to progress. During our inclusive sessions, as in our GymSchool classes, gymnasts take part in a warm-up activity, a stretch, and then skill-based circuits/activities. We finish all our inclusive classes with time on the trampoline.
Timetable
All sessions take place on Sundays
12.00-13.00 Independent 1 - For younger and beginner gymnasts working on foundational gymnastics skills

14.00-15.00 Advanced Independent (Invitation only) - For older and experienced gymnasts (age 10+) working on advancing gymnastics skills

Where your child starts depends on their age, experience and their personality - some children prefer to have the support and familiarity of a parent while they get to know us whereas others may be ready for Independent classes sooner. Most children start in the Parent & Child class, and progress onto the Independent class once they are ready.
We also offer bookable Inclusive Stay-and-Play sessions on average monthly. These are parent supervised 'free-play' sessions - coaches are present to advise and oversee the session, but it is not coached.
Individual 1:1 sessions – as arranged
Note: For children with Down's Syndrome, please contact us before booking / attending as in line with British Gymnastics policy (our governing body), screening for Atlanto-Axial instability is needed in advance.
