Isla Lees wins special recognition award

10 year old women's artistic gymnast Isla Lees picked up a Special Recognition award in the Junior Sportsperson category from Charnwood Borough Council. Isla trains at Notts but lives in Leicestershire. Isla was invited to the British Gymnastics Home Nations squad 2014 and has achieved fantastic results throughout the year in county, regional and national competitions.

Guests Ellie Black & Louise McColgan train at Notts

Over the past week Notts have had top class gymnasts training with us in preparation for Glasgow this weekend.

Scottish Espoir gymnast, Louise McColgan, Casey Morrison and their coach Claire Rankin trained for 2 days with our elite women's artistic gymnasts. Louise is preparing for the Espoir Championships 5th – 7th December at Emirates Arena, Glasgow alongside the prestigious World Cup.

Following Louise, Canada's Ellie Black, came into Notts to train alongside our gymnasts. Ellie is competing in the Glasgow World Cup on Saturday 6th Dec.

Girls Espoir and Boys U12 & U14 British Championships

The girls Espoir (12/13 years) and Boys Under 12 and Under 14 Artistic British Championships take place from the 5th – 7th December at Emirates Arena, Glasgow alongside the prestigious World Cup, showcasing the most exciting emerging talent and possibly our Olympic gymnasts of the future.

The country’s top young gymnasts take to the stage to compete for British glory in the all-around and apparatus finals. 

Notts have 6 young gymnasts travelling up to Glasgow to compete

Live streaming of the Glasgow World Cup will be available on 6 December from the BBC Website. Simply visit BBC website and you can watch all the action from the comfort of your own home (UK users only).

BBC1 will also show a highlights programme from this year’s event. This will be shown on Saturday 13 December from 1pm – 3pm.

Commonwealth gold medallist Ellie Black to guest train at Notts

Notts are excited to announce that Canada's Ellie Black will be joining us at Notts from Monday 1st - 4th Dec to train for the Glasgow World Cup. Ellie will be in the gym Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons training with her coach, Claire Starkey and the elite gymnasts.

Ellie competed in the Commonwealth Games winning gold on beam, silver on vault, bronze on floor, and she finished fourth on bars.
