New for 2026: Notts Gymnastics Academy Launches Display Gymnastics Programme
Notts Gymnastics Academy is delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new Display Gymnastics Programme, providing an exciting new opportunity for gymnasts aged 8+ to develop their skills, build friendships, perform as part of a team and represent the academy at events throughout the year.
Whether your child loves performing in front of an audience or simply enjoys learning new skills in a fun team environment, our new Display pathway offers something for everyone.
What is Display Gymnastics?
Display Gymnastics combines gymnastics, creativity, music and teamwork to create exciting group performances. Unlike traditional competitions, the focus is on working together to produce entertaining routines that showcase skill, expression and team spirit.
Display Gymnastics provides gymnasts with a fantastic opportunity to perform at festivals, events and showcases while developing confidence, coordination and friendships along the way.

Two Exciting Pathways
Our Display Programme will offer two pathways for gymnasts aged 8 and above:
Wednesday Performance Display Team
Our Performance Display Team is designed for gymnasts who are passionate about performing and representing Notts Gymnastics Academy.
Members will train on:
Wednesdays | 7:15pm – 8:30pm
This squad will work towards attending performances, festivals and display events throughout the year and will be selected through an open trial process.
Friday Participation Display Class
For gymnasts who would like to experience the fun, creativity and teamwork of Display Gymnastics without the commitment of the Performance Team, we will also be launching a Participation Display Class.
This class will be open to all gymnasts aged 8+ and is a fantastic way to enjoy the performance side of gymnastics in a relaxed and inclusive environment.
Members will train on:
Fridays | 7:15 – 8:30pm
Who Are We Looking For?
We're looking for gymnasts who:
Enjoy performing and being part of a team
Are enthusiastic and willing to learn
Have a positive attitude
Are committed to progressing their skills
Are ready to work hard and support their teammates
You do not need perfect gymnastics skills to get involved. We're looking for gymnasts who show enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to develop as part of a team. If you can roll, handstand & cartwheel this could be for you.
Free Open Trials
To select our first-ever Wednesday Performance Display Team members, we will be holding FREE Open Trials on:
Friday 24 July
7:15pm – 8:15pm
Saturday 25 July
3:15pm – 4:15pm
Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.
Following the trials, gymnasts will be assessed against the programme criteria. Successful gymnasts will be invited to join the Wednesday Performance Display Team, while those not selected will be offered the opportunity to participate in our Friday Display Class. Please be aware spaces are limited across both classes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something new from the very beginning, and we're excited to build a Display programme that showcases the talent, enthusiasm and team spirit of our gymnasts.
